2020 Winter Solstice Reflection Ceremony
Online plus on the Land at Coyote Ridge
(For a small circle of people)
To accommodate different time zones,
we offer two "Lighting the Solstice Fire" online ceremonies.
Friday, December 18th
at either 9:00 AM OR 4:00 PM PST
Until…
Saturday, December 19th at Dawn
For many years now, we have held a Winter Solstice Ceremony on our land at Coyote Ridge. Many of you have joined us around the fire to reflect upon the past year and all that you have experienced.
Covid’s presence this year requires us to find a new way to honor this year’s Winter Solstice and the Return of the Light.
Here is what we are going to do and we invite you to join in, in any way that works for you.
We will gather online at either 9:00 AM PST OR 4:00 PM PST in order to ceremonially light the Solstice fire as one people, no matter where we are in the world.
We will pass the talking stick around the circle to hear each person's voice and gather our intentions and wishes for the long Solstice night.
We will also set an intention to connect through the ethers at dawn, wherever we are on the planet and pause for 20 minutes of silent reflection as we each complete our ceremony in our own way.
In order to participate in this ceremony, register below.
There is no set fee for this online ceremony, but you may offer a tax-deductible (in the U.S.) donation through the button below.
For a few people who live in the Bay Area, there is an opportunity to join us at the fire at Coyote Ridge to hold vigil through the night.
