2021 Fall Ceremony
By a Lake, In the Forest
Harvest, Healing,
Gratitude, and Beauty
September 9th - 12th at Camp Onomia
90 Miles North of
Minnesota's Twin Cities
"Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life."
Rachel Carson
Author of Silent Spring
For 17 Springtimes, we have journeyed from California to Minnesota to gather in a ceremonial way with the people.
Last year, due to Covid, we held our Spring Ceremony online over a span of 21 days. This year, we return to Minnesota in the fall and warmly invite you to come to ceremony in early September to give us the space we need to explore, understand and integrate the life-impacting events of 2020-2021.
This year it is not possible for us to gather at Dunrovin on the banks of the St Croix River. However, thanks to our team, we have found a beautiful place, Camp Onomia, just 90 miles North of the Twin Cities, where we have been welcomed with open arms.
Our sleeping lodge is situated on the beach of Lake Shakopee, and there are many outside places for us to gather and enjoy the autumn breezes. The fire circle also sits right next to the lake and a trail beckons us to the Cathedral of the Pines.

The Context for this Ceremony
As we emerge from the grip of the Coronavirus experience, social and political unrest, wildfires and other "natural" disasters, our thoughts turn toward taking an inventory of our life, to become aware of what needs healing energy, before we harvest the lessons of this time.
We will also bring into our awareness what we have to be thankful for, so that we can remind ourselves and spread our gratitude around to those in need.
As human beings, we live just this side of an invisible membrane separating our day-to-day consciousness from the miracle of Creation.
Ceremony, by its very makeup and the language that it speaks, has the power to include and transcend our rational minds, allowing us to enter into the Mystery.
We can more easily find our way when we surround ourselves with beauty that we have created with our own hands, as well as the ever-present beauty of the natural world.
Through the co-creation of ceremony, our mind relaxes and we re-awaken our Original Nature.
Expectations
We also wanted to make our Covid protocol for the ceremony explicit:
As guides, our primary purpose in any ceremony is to shape and hold a space in which everyone feels safe to do their work.
We request (not a requirement) that everyone who comes is Covid vaccinated. We recognize that this may not be possible for everyone, for a variety of reasons.
If you are choosing not to be vaccinated, we ask that you obtain a negative Covid test 72 hours before the ceremony begins.
All of this is on an honor system, there are no proofs needed to participate.
